Designing the supertanker: a workshop about scale Workshop
Should business drive design thinking? Should design drive business thinking? At RMA Consulting we often work for the big players on tough problems like airborne radar mission control or global financial asset management. These projects can be massive, complex and involve large sprawling teams. Over the years we've had the opportunity to really understand the dynamics of these projects, and what makes them tick. In this hands-on workshop you will explore the complexity of the collaboration required designing large scale systems. An intercontinental, multicultural work environment will be simulated, where knowledge leakage, cultural gaps and geographical distance will challenge you and your team in an unusual project: designing and building a supertanker. Takeaways: • Manage risks and opportunities in large scale design projects • Understand the complexity of working with teams in different locations • Bridge the cultural gap between business, design and development teams
